Her journey began when her daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a baby. Determined to help her live a healthy and active life, Jodi spent 16 years carefully tracking meals, studying nutrition, and developing simple habits that helped maintain an in-range A1C while avoiding emergency hospital visits.
She is the author of Know the Enemy: Preventing Weight Gain, Diabetes & Disease, where she explains how modern eating habits have changed dramatically over the past 50 years and how returning to simpler, more practical approaches can make a meaningful difference. Jodi’s talks are known for being heartfelt, motivating, and easy to relate to, and she focuses on giving audiences realistic steps they can use immediately to improve their health and support their families.
